INSTALLATION

HINGE STEPS

Stone Hinge Install 1

1) Remove the griddle hardcover from the griddle top.

2) Align the first Hinge's slotted holes(A) with the griddle's pre-drilled holes towards the rear. The single top hole(B) of the Hinge should face the BACK of the griddle. The Hinge is on the outside of the griddle. (See Image 1 for bolt hole direction)

3) Insert two Hinge screws through the outside of the slotted holes, thread nuts partially on, but do not fully tighten them. Hinges should feel loose at this stage.

4) Repeat steps 2-3 for the second Hinge on the other side.

5) Set the hardcover back on the griddle with the pre-drilled holes of the hardcover in the rear. The hinge sits BETWEEN the griddle and the cover:
• Attached to the OUTSIDE of the griddle
• Sitting INSIDE the cover

(See Image 2)

6) Hold the cover slightly lifted and align the holes.

Insert the shoulder bolt:
→ From the OUTSIDE of the cover
→ Through the hinge

Then attach the nut and tighten. (See image 2)

7) Repeat step 6 for the other Hinge.

HANDLE STEPS

1) Unthread the nuts on the back of the Handle and remove the Handle plate, placing the screws and nuts aside.

2) Measure to find the center of the front lip on the hardcover to center the Handle on the hardcover.

3) Lift the front of the hardcover and hold the Handle in the center of the hardcover.

4) The hardcover lip should be SANDWICHED between:
• The handle (front)
• The plate (back)

(Like a clamp) (See image 4)

5) Slide the screws through the front of the handle and through the Handle plate, then thread on the Handle nuts and tighten. The Handle should now clamp the front lip.

ADJUSTMENTS TO YOUR GRIDDLE

Stone Hinge Install Pic 5

Each griddle model is slightly different, so there are slots instead of holes on the Hinges, allowing you to adjust them specifically for your griddle. The Handle plate’s lip should rest on the front edge of the griddle lip, not the Handle nuts. (PICTURE)

Adjust the hardcover forwards or backwards until it is correct, then tighten the Hinge nuts.

Boom You're a Genius!

NOTE: In older models, you may have to drill holes in the griddle. For reference, the correct placement (based on hardcovers we designed for) is:
  • 1” from the back edge of the griddle
  • 0.75” up from the bottom edge of griddle
  • 9/32” drill bit for the hole diameter
